We create artistic work in a unique way, making coats from soils of the Greek earth. We use ancient techniques of ceramic art and pottery. In every piece of work we give a piece of our soul, which ensures its uniqueness and its excelent quality. Over tha last years we investigate and use the ancient Greek technique "Terra Sigillata". Our works were fired with wood, which imprints the drawing ton the clay by the action of smoke.

The Michalopoulos Family established in 1985 the brand ERA based upon designs from Kastoria. Garments are designed and made to address an elite clientele and to those that are accustomed to recognize the higher quality.

Now the second generation of the family have looked for leading international experts; from Japan Shibata Teruo (quality, innovation), and Hong Kong Gina Miao Ching Lee (latest market trends and operations) understanding the needs of the market. Blending their expertise with our expertise in Kastorian fur to create a unique and powerful brand.

Ex oriente lux is the ?Light of the East?, the culture, the art and wisdom, this values that, charged in boats, travelled in the seas in order to shine in the harbors of the West. Corfu, the most Eastern harbor of the Western world at their Enetoys, was the first station, the point that the cultures off all world were met. Here, today, in the Cave, a modern dealer from other places, carried treasures from depths of East and the traditional art of Greece. Magical pictures that wake up your oriental senses!

Carpets tied up with the hand knot-knot, glasses that have taken their form from a human breath, silver worked with the art and the tools of old craftsman, textiles with indelible colors taken from the nature, continue to fascinate the modern residents of Corfu but also her visitors.

Lamprini Chantziara graduated from the Veloudakis School of Fashion in Athens and then worked as a creative designer for leading brands specializing in women's clothing and footwear taking part in numerous international exhibitions. Her travels to New York, across Europe, India and the Far East contributed to her artistic perceptions and aspirations leading to launching her first personal jewellery collection in 2010.

Having returned to the island of her birth she has now opened this store to display her (one of a kind) handmade jewellery formed using her favorite traditional techniques and combines materials such as fine quality knitting yarns, metal chains, swarovski crystals and semi-precious stones.

"With pleasure, not with pressure" is our motto. Founded in 2004 Mato Jewellery & Accessories continues to be the forefront of new thinking and design in jewellery not only in Greece but also closely monitoring the best International design developments.

Our focus is on discerning clients who appreciate both leading fashion design but expect that to be matched to the highest quality of manufacture and service. We have been able to follow this commitment through the expertise and knowledge we acquired through our family operated jewellery shop "Toxotis" to deliver jewellery characterized by high quality and stunning appearance.
